Make All Things New
Watch Night
New Year's Eve Service 7PM
We will come together in a service, giving thanks for the blessings of the outgoing year and praying for our intentions in the coming year. Watch Night can be traced back to John Wesley, and has special historical significance because on New Year's Eve 1862, slaves celebrating Watch Night anticipated the arrival of January 1, 1863, when Lincoln had announced he would sign the Emancipation Proclamation. This year we will celebrate our own emancipation from all that no longer serves us as we step powerfully into the New Year.
The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul.
G. K. Chesterton
