Join us for 7 weeks in exploring the book Creating a World That Works for All by Sharif Abdullah that takes a look at the mess we live in and presents a way out.
To restore balance to the earth and build community, he says, people must stop blaming others, embrace inclusivity, and become “menders.” He outlines three simple tests for "enoughness," "exchangeability," and "common benefit" to guide people as they transform themselves and the world. He invites us to be activists for an inclusive society, practicing a spirituality of turbulent times. The spiritual goal is to awaken the compassion that lies at the root of all change. He reminds us that we can each contribute to this right where we are.
The book is available (new, used, & on kindle) on Amazon. Used copies are also available here at Thrift Books. The ABQ library system does not have copies.

“Success means awakening in myself a Spirit that can help make a better life for others. Success means becoming conscious of and faithful to my values and to my soul.” (p 151)
